SECOND FLOOR
PAGE 1

The second floor could be held for parties and opened as the first floor filled. It also had the pizzeria and deliveries went out the side door.

Looking towards the front corner of the building that in relationship to the first floor is where the revloving door is located. This is just after the floor was gutted and the stairwell opening cut. I hope you have noticed how clean I keep a job site.

The diagonal to the first frame. Along the front wall on the first floor is the bank of doors to sidewalk seating.

This is a similar view after the wainscot was installed and the beams rocked. The wall in foreground separates the pizza kitchen from the dining area.

A short time later the paint is done, the floors are in, and the equipment set. The kitchen has an epoxy resin floor. I wonder how it held-up?

VOILA

Still looking from the back wall, now down through the installed staircase to the bank of doors on the first floor.

In relationship to the first floor you are looking at the same wall that the booth seating is situated. Interesting, the horizontal beams slope to the rear and the framing of those beams follows the slope, but along the wall the framing stayed plumb to the windows. It created a neat look.

Here, this shot will give you an idea how the wainscot was installed. I use 2 x 6s cut at an angle and then set on a runner along the wall using a string line to keep it straight, sheeted, then covered with tamber and then a 1x top.

The posts were covered in the same material as well as sufaces like the bar and then painted.
