Hutch: gallery 2

Whether you call it a hutch, a bookcase, a bureau, a china cabinet, a built-in or armoire, it is here that you will find the most individuality and ability for owners to express themselves by building what they need.

A close-up of the corbel. To give a more finished look we made a shoe with OG for the top and bottom of the corbel.

Here is another take on the hutch. Can you find the 5 differences from the first hutch?
first hutch

This is a built-in in the master bath. It has 5 piece drawer fronts wood interior and glass doors with mullions.

Another view without the flash in the glass.

This bureau in cherry with nutmeg stain served as a working area (phone center) and display case. It has an open bookshelf on the end.

You can see that the base has two fluted columns. This was not per design. Discovered after the original cabinet was pulled was a wood floor that did not run under the cabinet. We were short on the base run where the cabinet made the 45. The columns were used to make the difference.
see fix

Just one small part of a much longer cabinet run. The uppper has an open book shelf with columns and plinths, arched top and bottom rail, wood interior and crown molding, bookend by cabinets on either side with seedy glass.

Home office
built-in bookcase, knotty alder, top rail arched, styles & rails eq width, nose with OG. The room behind is a walk-in closet. You can see in the closet that the space below the bookcase is walled off, storage for a roll-out bed.

The foot of the roll-out bed has this faux drawer base attached to it, and it is used to pull the bed from under the wall. When the bed is not in use, it rolls back, hidden in the walk-in closet.
